Dear Friends,

Happy New Year!

Most important, together our efforts will make a significant positive impact on all lives affected.

About Our Joint Signature Program – Good Water Projects In collaboration with Grace Impact (a non-profit company based in Munich, Germany), GCEWL implements and oversees our Good Water Program on-site. Our Good Water Program (GWP) provides vital water purifiers to schools, health centers, and local communities in less privileged areas, both urban and rural. The program directly contributes to the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) – SDG 6 (Clean Water & Sanitation), SDG 7 (Clean Energy) and SDG 17 (Partnerships), while also positively impacting SDG 3 (Good Health and Well-being) and SDG 5 (Gender Equality). As you may know, throughout most of Africa, women and girls bear the responsibility for water collection, which not only deprives them of educational and economic opportunities but also puts their health and safety at risk.

Grace Clean Energy & Water Limited and Grace Impact gGmbH sponsored A GOOD WATER PROJECT at the Mirembe School (CSI) in Kiganda, Kampala in March 2023

The Mirembe (CSI) , located in Kiganda, a very poor area in Kampala, presently has 500 students from nursery to primary school. Irene Tucker, co-founder and deputy CEO at CSI, donated the land for the present school and its buildings together with her husband. School fees are charged for each student per term and this fee covers a daily breakfast and lunch.

CSI’s school teachers in Mirembe.

Grace Clean Energy & Water Limited selected a VIQUA VT1-DWS, a medium-capacity point-of-use drinking water system, for the CSI school. This water treatment machine purifies 240 liters of water an hour using Viqua’s proven ultraviolet (UV) disinfection technology. The chemical-free process removes 99.99% of bacteria, viruses, and protozoa, thus meeting the World Health Organization’s and the Uganda National Bureau of Standards’ (UNBS) requirements for potable water.

Dear Dinese, I write to thank you and the entire Grace Clean Energy and Water Ltd team for your generous donation of a water purification system to Mirembe school. I would like you to know that your generous donation is a more than welcome solution to the need for clean water for drinking among our growing population of pupils! Kiganda, where Mirembe school is located is a densely populated slum with few accessible safe water sources. Clean and safe water keeps us healthy! Thank you indeed. We look forward to cooperating further with you to improve the health and livelihood of our communities. We have 3 more schools in the rural areas of Luweero, Nakaseke, Gayaza where we serve less privileged communities.

Thank you again!” Mrs. Getrude Mujirirwa, CEO of CSI

Dinese (GCEWL) and Janet (CSI)

“We are very happy to support CSI in Kiganda with this water purifier since we fully understand the necessity of safe and affordable clean water for everyone, especially children. The benefits of clean water are abundant since lots of suffering, illnesses and deaths can be prevented with easy access to clean water. This school needs plenty of support and we hope to find additional funds to pay for books, school supplies for the student and also roof repair. In June 2023, we plan to donate a second water purifier to another CSI school located in a less privileged community.” Dinese Hannewald, CEO&CFO/Founder, Grace Clean Energy & Water Limited
